Dulwich Park

Join this wonderful 9-mile route through leafy Southwark, taking in the best the Borough has to offer. We meet at Dulwich Park Café, where refreshments may be taken prior to the ride and upon conclusion when we arrive back at the same location. Secure cycle parking and toilets available but please bring along a good lock. Heading out towards Dulwich Plough and then onwards through Peckham Rye Park, Goose Green and then passing Alleyns School before dropping down towards Dulwich Village. A very gentle climb before we descend into Brockwell Park. Passing the Lido and café/toilets if required.
The ride passes three cycle shops including Evans should you require anything or we experience any mechanicals that can’t be rectified at the road side!
If you are new to cycling or just a bit apprehensive about cycling on main roads, then this may be for you. We try to avoid major roads and take in some traffic free locations which may help build your confidence. There is some inevitable road riding which connects the parks but this is kept to a minimum.
Dulwich Park Cafe is our start and finish location which will be open. The historic Herne Hill Velodrome is the last remaining 1948 Olympic venue and is still in use today. We pass it and can pop in if anyone is interested.
Helmets are compulsory. Suitable clothing, a lock and some money for a cafe stop
