Each week will be a different route varying in length from 5-12miles approximately. If there is somewhere you want to learn how to get to within the city, let Jenny know.

City Explorer are a set of rides which explore different routes in and around Southampton. The rides will vary in length but will be at a gentle pace so anyone can come along for an evening social ride. We will explore different routes through the month covering various areas of central Southampton including St Marys, Shirley and Redbridge. Each route will take approx 60-90minutes not including a stop for a drink or snack. The routes are a mix of cycle paths and roads, which be quieter during the evening. Not sure if your bike is safe to ride? Take your bike to the regular Bike Dr which happens at Guildhall Square 11am - 2pm on the last Thursday of the month. Wednesday evenings you can help fix your bike at the Bike Kitchen at Hub Cyclesworks(Shirley) or Monty’s Bike Kitchen in Sholing. Working lights are essential, dress for the weather, and don't forget bring a spare inner tube. We will stop for refreshments so bring along money. Any questions about the ride, please ask Breeze Leader Jenny.

We will ride a mix of shared-use paths, cycle paths and roads. Bells should be used when approaching pedestrians.

We never leave anyone behind
