Following part of the Bay Way cycle route NCN 700, Barrow in Furness to Grange over Sands.
This road ride is idylic taking in some beautiful scenery whilst also passing through quaint villages, with a lunch stop at Ulverston.
It is a lumpy ride which inclides a couple of steep climbs which are a tester, the descents are always worth the effort though. It alos tends to get a bit breezy on the coast which adds to the excitement!
Meeting at Grange over Sands train station with your bike NO LATER than 8.30 as the bikes need to be loaded onto transport to Barrow where we will all meet again after a 35 min train journey. The train departs Grange at 8.50am, arrives at Barrow 9.30am. A quick bike check and ride brief before we aim to start the ride for 10am.
Train ticket cost is approx £8.50, bike transfer cost £7.50. Parking at Grange train station is £5 all day so it would make sense to car share where possible. Payment online for the car park is required.
