Ride .... to the German Market

Our ride takes us into town along the Rea Valley Route on the cycle path and Cannon Hill Park then on the cycle lane up the Bristol Road into town then uphill to the Town Hall. We will have some time for a look round and a coffee or gluwein(!) and something to eat, taking in the sights and sounds of the German Christmas Market. We will go back to Stirchley most of the way on the towpath from Gas Street Basin, which has a very good surface and is very wide. We will ride at a fairly leisurely pace due to the stops and starts you get when on the towpath or on cycle paths.

If you enjoy cycling and would like to learn a cycling route into town as well as enjoying a chat and some exercise then please do join us. Don't forget some money, a good lock and a spare inner tube in case of a puncture. Make sure your bike is roadworthy with tyres pumped up and chain oiled. Wrap up warm and wear something bright. We strongly advise wearing a helmet and you will need gloves.
