Leaving Seymour Park, we make our way to Castlefield and cross Woden bridge which is the Manchester Ship Canal and River Irwell border. We follow the river until the end then cross over the road to follow CTC route 6 to the lovely Peel Park. We then cross the River Irwell a few times and cycle along it for a while until we reach Drinkwater Park. Then follow traffic free route 6 along the Outwood Trail to reach the new cafe in Ringley. We will come back a slightly different route around Clifton Marina and country park and through Waterdale.
