Starting point

Merseyside
L17 1AP

This ride will start with a 30 minute cycle skills session to improve bike handling, balance, stability and confidence. This is suitable for all cyclists and especially anyone who hasn't been on a bike for a while.

After the cycle skills session there are two options:

1. Cycle through the beautiful Sefton Park for 2.5 miles on traffic free paths, finishing at Sefton Park cafe. This ride will take approximately 30 minutes.

2. A 6 mile circular ride through Sefton Park, Otterspool Park, Otterspool Prom and Festival Gardens, finishing at Sefton Park cafe. The majority of this route is traffic free with a short section near the end on quiet roads. This ride will take approximately 1 hour.

We especially welcome newbies and anyone who hasn't ridden a bike for a while & is looking to build their confidence.

Don't have a bike? We have some available to borrow for free. The bikes are stored in a container at Mossley Hill hospital on Park Avenue L17 8BU - use the entrance marked Mossley House which is just above the hospital car park entrance.

The bike container is round to the right hand side of the large victorian Mossley house. We can meet you there at 6pm to sort out a bike and a helmet. If you'd like to borrow a bikeit would be very helpful if you could let us know by messaging via this website.
