This is an easy- going ride for any woman who wants to gain confidence on her bike and discover local cycle-friendly routes.

Our experienced volunteer ride leader will take you on an easy bike ride at a gentle pace, using quiet back roads, off-road cycle paths, parks, riverside and canalside paths, showing you some of the scenic routes in the local area. We will visit a friendly local café for refreshments.

This ride is ideal for: -
• women with accompanied children, on their own bikes, on child carrier seats, or in trailers
• beginner riders who have learned to ride a bike and want to gain confidence & experience in a safe & friendly group
• women who haven't ridden a bike for some time and would like to get back into it
• women who cycle occasionally and would like to build their confidence and learn local cycling-friendly routes

What you need: -
• a working bike: beg, borrow or buy a bike, pump up the tyres, check the brakes and make sure the wheels turn
• dress for the weather, and don't wear anything long or baggy that might get caught in the chain
• bring some water and a snack with you

You don't need: -
• fancy lycra clothes, a helmet, an expensive bike, or to be super-fit. We want to encourage women of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, and levels of experience to enjoy getting out on a bike!

Please do not attend if you or anyone in your household has any Covid 19 symptoms or is currently required to self-isolate.
We recommend you bring a face covering for use in enclosed indoor spaces.
