This ride is challenging in view of distance and a few hills.
The route will take us through Warblington, Denvilles and Westbourne. There is a steady climb along Foxbury Lane. We then head towards Funtington where there is a short but slightly challenging hill. We will stop at the top for a breather. After passing the popular Kingley Vale National Nature Reserve we head towards West Stoke and Lavant.
We then join the Centurion Way cycle path which is a 1.5 mile traffic free path running from Lavant to West Dean.
Our cafe stop will be West Dean Stores and Tea Rooms.
After our break, we will retrace part of our route to West Stoke and then head towards East Ashling, West Ashling, Woodmancote and Westbourne and finish back at the start in Havant.
Although we will be stopping for a break, do bring a drink and something to eat to keep you going. Cereal bars or bananas are ideal for boosting energy levels.
Havant Leisure Centre has a pay and display car park (£1 for 4 hours, £1.50 4+ hours at weekends) and is also just a short distance from the station.
