Starting from - Car park on The Common, Saffron Walden. Please remember your cycle helmet, spare inner tube, pump, water to drink on the ride and money for refreshments at the end.
Due to Covid precautions please bring your own PPE (mask, sterile gloves and alcohol hand gel – we are unable to share any PPE or cycling equipment with you) in case of an emergency. If you, or any of your household, are feeling unwell in any way, particularly if you have a temperature or cough, please do not attend the ride.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time so that we can do our safety checks and go through the route. It is important that you check that your bike is fully roadworthy, good brakes, gears that work and tyres that are pumped to the correct pressure – thanks

This Sassy Lassies Cycling ride is open for anyone to join

Free, women-only bike rides led by experienced Breeze Champions. They are a great way to get started in cycling or to improve your skills, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist.

This a series of rides designed to get you from the comfort of your sofa to riding comfortably on your saddle. You will get lots of encouragement and support to enable to you increase your stamina, skills and confidence. The initial rides will be shorter, and we will increase the distance each week so that by the end of February you can cycle 20 miles at a steady pace. In March we will increase this up to 30 miles and then there will be option to take part in a sportive over the coming months (not obligatory). We will finish the ride with coffee (cake if desired) and a chat. Our rides are always fun and friendly with lots of laughter on the way - why not come and give it a go.
