Starting point

West Yorkshire
BD18 3JJ

The ride out to Silsden will be mainly traffic free, but dependant on who comes along, we may ride back towards Bingley along the cycle path before returning to the canal.
We will be stopping for refreshments, but it’s a good idea to bring some water, a snack to keep you going and money for when we stop at the cafe.
We really welcome newcomers to our rides, and we always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. Approx 20 miles round trip, but can be easily shortened if required. You just need a roadworthy bike with a spare inner tube of the correct size (just in case). Dress appropriately for the weather, several thin layers are best and a rain jacket could come in handy. The towpath can get muddy after rain, so please bear this in mind when choosing what to wear for the ride.
Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part. If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.
I look forward to seeing you there!
