Providing the weather conditions are reasonable, this 20 mile route will take us up a few hills (about 850ft of climbing) and include some fairly busy roads, but also towpath and off road sections. Don't be put off by the presence of some e-bikes. We still don't go fast!
Please dress appropriately. Several thin layers are best and a rain jacket could come in handy. It’s a good idea to bring some water, a snack to keep you going and money for when we stop at the cafe.
Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part. If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.
We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind, but please look at the route map and profile.
All you need is a roadworthy bike, sensible clothing and a bit of enthusiasm. It helps to have a spare inner tube of the correct size - just in case.
