Join us for a fabulous mixed terrain route up to Menston, a little bit of towpath, trail, greenway, quiet back roads and a couple of busy sections

Jumping onto the towpath we will head along to Dock road where we turn right and head up to Leeds Road, we then do a left then left onto Thackley Old road where we find a cheeky climb, don't worry we will take it at a slow pace and follow to Windmill Old road, we turn left onto Thackley road then pick up the trail down to the towpath, head across and down and over the bridge to Buck lane, right onto A6038 and right again onto Esholt lane, heading into Esholt we will cut up the path beside the Woolpack onto the road then trail through Esholt woods, turning left at the end onto Gill Lane up to Yeadon, where we will cross the road onto Henshaw and pick up the greenway

Skirting round Silverdales, across the main road and onto Back lane. Coming out on Otley road across the roundabout and turn left onto Guiseley drive and take a tour of High Royds Village then head to the cafe stop Twenty8 (under the Wetherby Whaler).

Return route
Turning left out of the Wetherby Whaler up to the roundabout, turning right and along Bradford road to the top of Hollins Hill where we will turn left and right onto Old Hollins Hill, dropping back down into Esholt and pick up the A6038 back to the railway bridge where we turn left under it and over the river onto Dockfield road and pick the towpath back up to Hirst Lock

If riders are uncomfortable about going down Old Hollins Hill we can retrace part of the route to the greenway and cut through the Westfield estate back to Gill Lane and return to Esholt.

Pennies for a caffeine stop and sweet treat, spare inner tube, bike pump and levers, hand sanitizer, face mask and wipes

We never leave anyone behind
