tilising local knowledge, the Ride Leaders weave through Bamber Bridge and the group is almost magically transported to Walton Summit. Riding through the industrial state, we pick up a quiet bridleway to carry us safely over the motorway, to enable us to head out to Brindle and Whittle le Woods. From Whittle le Woods, we re-enter Cuerden Country Park, patting the pedals along the valley bottom to arrive in good time for our well earned Christmas bap, as Cuerden View Cafe. If you want to have your pud and eat it, you will need to climb back on your 2 wheeled steed to head back out of the Cuerden Valley, to the A49 cycle route and back to our school base starting point. You can do it!

Traffic free cycle routes, quieter urban roads, lanes and a bridleway.

Cuerden View Cafe is hosting Ribble Valley Juniors Christmas lunch this year. The lunch is scheduled for 11.30, which allows the cyclists 1.5 hours to reach the venue.

Riders should dress according to the weather conditions and it is advisable to carry a waterproof. Please bring a spare inner tube that will fit the bike you are riding (you don’t have to know how to change the tube - the Leader can step in to do this in the event of a puncture. Please carry fluids to quench thirst during the ride. If you have a health condition that may require you to take medication (eg asthma) please carry this with you and you may inform the Ride Leader, in confidence, if you feel this appropriate. Children must wear a helmet. Feel free to add a festive theme to your clothing.

Smiles are compulsory - if you forget yours, we will be sure to equip you with one by the time you finish!
