Roving to Roves Farm

Although a short route, just over 11 miles in total, many will know the roads out of Shrivenham and Sevenhampton have climbs which can get you panting. So there will loads of encouragement flying about, we will stop in a safe location to re group. Of course all that goes up must come down, so we will have to take it steady on the downhill sections and take good care at the narrow bridge over the River Cole at the 1.5 mile and 9.5 mile points. If your little ones are cycling they should sleep well after this ride.

This another of our family rides to local farms. A little hillier than Farmer Gow's and a little further but this ride has the joy of being able to have a whiz around Nightingale Woods

The section in Nightingale woods is ideal traffic free riding. we will be on country roads through Sevenhampton and South Marston to get there, but we will be back directly through Sevenhampton so it's a lollipop ride.

Roves Farm has a lovely cafe and if bring something sensible to carry it in, you could treat yourself to some delicious local sausages. (but these are not compulsory)

As always helmets are recommended for adults and almost compulsory for children whose bones are a little more brittle than ours. Suitable clothing for the weather and cash or plastic is required if you wish to sample the fare at Roves Farm. We don't intend to take part in farm activities so entry is normally free, but of course a family may wish to extend their stay to experience all the great things that are on offer at Roves farm (see rovesfarm.co.uk)
