Starting from Braishfield Village Hall car-park we take Furzedown Road over the hill and down to King's Somborne. Turning right at the village shop we go uphill to Ashley and follow the Roman Road past Farleigh Mount country park to Crabwood and straight over the cross roads to the cafe.
Our return trip takes in Standen, a short distance on the A3090 and then over the hill past Merdon Castle and thence through Lower Slackstead to Braishfield. 16 miles in all.
