Roaring Reds Friday Flyers

This is a Roaring Reds route aimed at experienced riders who are comfortable with riding 30+ miles at 12-14mph on varied roads with hills. These rides are fast paced with minimal stoppages. A good level of fitness is required. If you are in doubt as to the the suitability of this ride please contact me for guidance. Over the 3 ride series we will aim to include places such as Watlington, Radnage, Stoke Mandeville, and perhaps Brill. The exact route will depend on the forecast but I will text all riders in advance with the route details.

We will generally stick to quieter roads but there are some stretches of busy main roads on some routes. There will be some challenging hills.

We will usually, but not always, have a coffee stop depending on the route. I will let riders know the day before.

I would prefer you to wear a cycling helmet. Please bring two spare inner tubes, a bike pump, a drink of water and card/money for our stop (please note: many places take card payment only), hand sanitiser and a face covering. Please note that we cannot share tools/ equipment. Due to Covid 19 guidance we will maintain appropriate social distancing. Please make sure that your contact details when you registered with Breeze are correct. I expect participants to take responsibility for ensuring they are well and not coming on the ride if they display signs of COVID-19. British Cycling are keen for group cycling to continue in the most socially distanced way possible. You can wear a mask if you feel it is appropriate. Ultimately, only you can decide if you feel safe from the risks of COVID-19 to ride at this time.
