From the train Stn we head through Costcote to West Hagbourne thence to Upton where we go off road to join The Ridgeway close to where the old DNS line was. We follow the ridgeway to The battle of Ashdown site before swinging off into the village of Aldeworth to visit The Bell then a short road section down Streatley hill over the Thames to Goring (where some could cut the journey short and catch the train home) down gatehampton Rd to the farm where we once again leave the roads to follow the Thames path up and through Hartslock woods to Whitchurch where we join the warren to get us back (via Mapledurham) to caversham for another pub stop before catching a train home
