Rider Development (Confidence & bike handling skills) coaching session (1)

A series of 3 coaching sessions specifically designed for women led by a qualified female coach. These will take place in a traffic-free, fun and friendly environment - 26/3, 2/4, & 16/4. By the end of these sessions riders will feel able to ride their bikes with more confidence and greater understanding of cornering, balance, braking and gear selection. The first session will be based around balance and movement around the bike including using brakes in a safe controlled manner. The second session will look at position on the bike and cornering techniques, the third will look at gear selection for the terrain and pedalling for optimal efficiency. There will be plenty of opportunity to practise what you learn and to ask questions. A short ride of 4-5 miles will be available at the end of sessions. The ride will use cycle paths and quieter roads around Havant. Please ensure your bike is in good working order and tyres correctly inflated. You will also need to wear a helmet. Ideally, please sign up to all three, but otherwise please come to what you can. Parking available in the Havant Leisure Centre car park. Pay and display (£1 for unlimted parking).
