A rare chance to watch professional cycle racing in our County. This ride will take to a great spot to watch the ladies in action on Stage 1 of the AJ Bell Women's Tour of Britain.

Mainly B roads, although a very short section on the A 420 (low traffic at the moment)

The plan is get there early, grab a coffee then get a watch spot, but there may be other with the same plan so a good idea to come with your own drink and snack as a fall back. Once the race has gone through we will return possibly via a stop at Aston Pottery

Don’t forget a full water bottle with your favourite thirst quencher. Please bring a face mask; you may be asked to wear it on entering a café and in the event of first aid being required. For all our rides you should bring at least a spare inner tube and a pump. If your wheels are bolted on then a spanner that fits the nuts is also essential. Helmets are not compulsory but most definitely recommended. You should dress appropriately for the weather, and consider bringing your mobile phone along with cash or debit card for the coffee stop. Some café’s only take card payments. see notes above about snacks

We welcome first timers on our rides but please bear in mind that this is quite a long ride by the time we get back and there will some time spent by the roadside waiting the the race as we have to get to our watch spot before the road is closed.
