The route takes in the places of significance for our city's most famous literary heroes. Curve, Little Theatre, the University of Leicester Library, which houses the archives of both authors, Tick Tock Park, their houses in Saffron and Eyres Monsell, the Goldhill Adventure Playground, the school Adrian would have gone to and lots more. We will stop for a picnic lunch (bring your own) at the Southfields Pork Pie Library. Please bring a good lock for securing your bike while the group is in the library for the presentation. Dr Emma Parker will be joining us again on this ride as we celebrate Leicester's world class contribution to literary excellence. Emma is Associate Professor of English at Leicester.

We will make our way out to places frequented by Sue Townsend and Joe Orton using the city's fabulous cycle infrastructure. We make our way back to the city centre along the Great Central way. Join us exploring some of Leicester's hidden gems mingled with a bit of local history. This easy going ride is mainly on quiet routes and dedicated cycle paths at a conversational pace.

The high quality city cycling infrastructure and quiet roads.
