Starting from the Beefeater Pub at Morton Park, we ride west out of Darlington through Blackwell village, then through Stapleton, Cleasby and Manfield before we arrive at Eppleby for our stopover at the Tea Room. The return route takes a small loop through Forcett before coming back into Manfield and following the same route back to the Beefeater.

This ride is classed as a CHALLENGING ride which is around 24 miles (~12 miles each way). The ride has some hill climbing. This ride is all on tarmac – road or cycleways – so all bike types are suitable. It is suitable for riders who are comfortable sustaining around 10mph avg. and can continually cycle for around 2 hours each way. The stopover is usually around 1 hour. Bear in mind these times are a guide and the ride can take longer.

A visit to the famous Eppleby Tea Rooms, loved by cyclists all over!

All on the road or cycleways

Eppleby Tea Room, lovely stopover serving top tea / coffee & cake.

Always wear a helmet! Money and a lock recommended for the cafe stop.

We especially welcome newbies!
