A lovely green ride, almost all off-road. However,we do have on road alternatives, if we find that the shared paths are too crowded to maintain social distancing.

We ride along the Brent River and the Grand Union Canal to Brentford, then through Syon Park and along the river from Isleworth to Richmond Bridge. Crossing the river, we tackle the climb up Richmond Hill, to be rewarded with a gentle descent on the Tamsin Trail, leaving Richmond Park via the Roehampton Gate and crossing into Wimbledon Common. After a lunchtime stop at the Windmill Café, we ride on through the Common, re-entering Richmond Park at the Robin Hood Gate. We cross the Park to leave by the Sheen Gate and make our way back to Ealing via Mortlake and the riverside path to Kew Bridge.

The Windmill Cafe http://www.windmilltearooms.com/ is open, as are the public toilets, but you might prefer to bring your own refreshments. Don't forget to bring hand sanitiser, wipes, etc and face mask in case we are unable to maintain social distancing for any reason.
