Redstone Rig.. by the North Face!

A tough series of climbs on the way out, with the steepest at the end, although, from the Rig to Garvald is quite lumpy too.

A chance to take the Rig by the stones - red or otherwise!

This will be all tarmac as far as I recall.

We'll stop at The Lanterns Rouge cafe in Gifford for a quick cuppa and cake. Those not wishing to do the Rig can have a heavier meal and escapes to Haddington. The rest of us will ascend the Rig and head to Harvard and then Haddington for something more substantial, food wise. Our reward an easy flat run home to Fisherrow.

As far as I know, Lanterns Rouge only accepts cash. You're also advised to bring a suitable spare innertube or two - and any tools required to remove your wheel.
