A steady ride to Canons Park, in Stanmore, to join Harrow’s Breeze Champion Pragna’s picnic to celebrate her 100th Breeze ride! We will stop at Wembley Park for food provisions and at Kenton Recreational Ground to give a go at the BMX track! We will navigate through quiet roads as much as possible so this ride is suitable for those wanting to develop their confidence in traffic.
You are more than welcome to bring your own picnic, but we stop at Wembley Park for those wanting to buy food to bring to the picnic (suggestions are Bread Ahead and Starbucks opposite each other). There is a café at Canons Park but it’s very modest and unlikely to have many food options (hot or cold drinks will be fine).
Don’t bring or buy anything that can easily spill because… we will give a go at the BMX track at Kenton Rec, and your food is going to go up and down on the wavy loops too! We then carry on cutting through Centenary Park to get to Canons Park at approximately 11am when we meet Pragna and her riders.
On our way back, we cut through The Hive and Woodcock Park until we get to North Wembley. We should be back at Roundwood Park before 2pm. There are a small number of inclines along the route, all very short and sweet (or just short) - if anyone finds it difficult to go over them, there's no shame in walking and we will regroup at the top.
If you find this ride fully booked, join the waiting list as spaces always become available nearer the date. However, please do not sign up if you’re not sure you can come.
