A simple canalside route all the way to the stunning Portland Basin museum. We pass cute little cottages, luxurious new houses, a lovely working boatyard and old mills, including a biscuit factory - the smells from here are soooooo yummy! Please note that I never leave anyone behind and am not afraid to get off and walk any 'ups' that get me!
Bike type: MTB or Hybrid due to the amount of cobbles Surface: tarmac & cobbles - 11 locks, 2 hump bridges and cobbled roads near the museum
Cafe: Bridge View cafe at Portland Basin Toilets: Velodrome & Portland Basin
Please ensure that you have a helmet as I will not allow anyone to take part without one. Where possible bring a lock and puncture repair kit and weather appropriate clothing/sunscreen. Bring cash for the cafe.
