Pontefract (Carleton Community Centre) "Steady" Road Ride. This is a guided cycle ride using our fully trained ride leaders and takes place on the first Saturday in the month. We meet to the rear of the centre in the observatory car park at 10:15am for a 10:30am start. The centre can be found on Carleton Road, Carleton, Pontefract, WF8 3RJ. Please note there are no toilets available. Limited parking is available at the Centre and is free of charge. Our forum rides do not require advanced booking, simply turn up and go. Expect up to 20 miles on this cycle ride and with this being a road ride, road bikes are welcome, otherwise Hybrids & MTB's can be used. Please allow 3 hours, as we will be making a refreshment stop. We travel at a steady/comfortable pace and average around 11 mph. All our rides are free of charge to join and we look forward to meeting you. The pace is set by our steadiest rider and we never leave anyone behind on any of our rides. We are a voluntary organisation. Everyone's welcome to join our cycle rides.
