Starting from - Start from the outside of Feniscowles and Pleasington Sports and Social Club, Livesey Branch Road (A6062), Blackburn BB2 5EH. There should be adequate on road parking in front of the social club and playing fields. Alternatively you can use Witton Park car park (BB2 2TP) and cycle up to the start. (Approx 2 miles/10 minute ride). You will need to pay £1-50 to use the Witton Car Park.

Route heads west via Houghton, Gregson Lane, Bamber Bridge, a short section of the Old Tramway cycle path then a section of the Guild Wheel around Preston Docks. The route then takes us to Clifton, Kirkham and Wrea Green, though the lunch stop will be at Starbucks in Ribby Hall Village.
The return route is again via Kikham then NCN 62 to Lea Town, through Preston and Avenham Park dipping into Bamber Bridge, Higher Walton and back into Gregson Lane before reaching Pleasington.
Total distance will be 45 miles
The route is largely flat with no major hills, despite the exaggerated profile shown. The profile is for the outgoing journey only.
