Why not join in this canal side ride from Trencherfield Mill taking in the delights of Leeds Liverpool Canal - Leigh Branch all the way to the outskirts of Pennington.
This ride is approximately 15 miles in total but as along the canal is relatively flat with a few bridges to negotiate and a short section along the road to the rest stop.  At the mid point there will be a rest stop available so please bring cash if you want to get food or a drink.
The trail is a mixture of imprinted concrete, crushed gravel paths and short road ride suitable for mountain bikes and hybrids without slick tyres.  Wouldn't advise anyone to attend with a road bike.
Children are welcome on this ride if they can make the distance but helmets must be worn by under 18's and bikes are not provided (if you are unsure of your child's ability why not take them on one of the shorter rides first to assess).
It is advisable to bring a spare inner tube just in case and a drink and any snacks you may need for along the way.
