We start along The High Peak Trail up to Parsley Hay and then go down The Tissington Trail to Biggin. From here we take the lanes to Hartington and then ride North up Long Dale back towards Parsley Hay. After crossing the A517 we drop into Monyash for refreshments.
There's a good climb out of Monyash to Long Rake (The Womens Tour of Britain came up here a few years back - made it look very easy) and back to Friden.
36km with 450 m of climb - plenty of time though. The ride is probably not suitable for very skinny tyres - I will be riding with Durano dd 25mm.

A potter around the White Peak.

Some well maintained trail and some quiet lanes.

Lots of things to stop off at along the route. We will stop at The Old Smithy in Monyash about two thirds of the way round for refreshments.

Come dressed for whatever weather July throws at us (some of the route is quite exposed). Helmets advised. A spare inner tube and tools may be needed if 'The Flat Gremlin' turns up. A drink and energy snack may be a good idea.
