We ride up Derwent Walk to Consett then on Waskerly Way track past Parkhead Station and down to Stanhope for rest stop at around 30 miles. Then returning mostly downhill, as the climbing is done, via Crook, Durham, and Team valley, back to the start.
This ride is for advanced riders well above beginner level at average speed 13 mph. Mostly cycleway, track, road and some gravel, suitable for any bike with tread.

For the safety and enjoyment of all riders please do not pass the leader unless you know the road ahead, please shout back any warnings given (bollards etc.) check your bike is roadworthy, that you are capable of the route mileage, your able to maintain average speed 13 mph for entire ride. Bring: helmet, tools, 2 tubes, waterproofs (weather unpredictable on the moor) and lights for your bike, also enough food and drink for hydration etc.
