Parbold Peaks

This road ride takes us to Chorley and Charnock Richard and then onwards to climb Hunters and Parbold HIll and Ashurst Beacon before returning through Appley Bridge and Coppull. The route has some challenging climbs and steep descents but don't let this deter you as you take them at your own speed and we wait for everyone. A good level of stamina and fitness is required though.

A circular road ride over to Parbold and the surrounding area to climb some hills with hopefully spectacular views.

Mostly B roads and country lanes with some short distances on A roads.

There is the possibility of a cafe stop but please bring plenty of snacks and drinks. We will be stopping at the top of the main hills to catch our breath and take in the views.

Please wear a helmet as without one you will be not be able to ride with the group. Also, please bring a spare inner tube, tyre levers and a pump. COVID 19 Safety: if feeling unwell with any symptoms of Covid 19 please do not attend the ride. Participants should also bring hand sanitiser or wipes and a face covering. You may wish to bring cash or payment method for a cafe stop.
