Ride description:
Join Susan and Wendy for their 2 year anniversary of leading their first Breeze ride with this super overnight ride...
Our official route will begin at Newcastle College. We'll then head out to the coast, following the shoreline north for a short while, before heading back inland. We'll make use of some of the waggonway network, visit 'the spoon' and pass through a couple of country parks. The terrain is mixed and is most suited to gravel, hybrid or mountain bikes. Skinny/slick tyres will NOT cope well with some of the terrain.
Categorised as challenging due to being overnight - the pace will be steady and sociable.

Bring sufficient clothing to allow for the temperature dropping and also sufficient food and fluid to see you through the night.
Bring lights that will last for the duration of the ride and consider your visibility with what you wear.

Please make sure your bike is in working condition PRIOR to arriving for the ride and bring a spare inner tube to fit your tyres (check the valve type too!) and/or a puncture repair kit. The leaders can help you fix a puncture, but only if you have the right size inner tube for your bike or a puncture repair kit!
Whilst we welcome any bike type, we have zero knowledge of e-bikes, so if you are riding an e-bike, please come prepared to independently sort out any mechanicals that you may have.

Helmets are not mandatory, but are strongly advised.

If the weather is poor, we will only contact you if we are cancelling the ride and will do so by putting a message in the ‘conversation’ tab in the ride. You should receive a notification by email if there is a message. If you have not heard from us we are still riding.

If you book on this ride and then find you have to cancel, please do so as soon as you can so that your place is available to someone else.

PHOTOGRAPHY - The organiser of the ride may take photographs or videos of the ride and riders for publicity purposes. By registering to participate in the ride, you agree that photographic images of you or containing you, may be used by the organiser, sponsors or promoters of the ride for publicity purposes

We look forward to seeing you.
