A gentle bike ride suitable for all abilities including children. Women and children under 16 only (there is a family ride once a month for all parents too). We will stick to mostly off road paths and have a cafe stop along the way. We’ll be building up to slightly longer distances over the summer. Bike seats and trailers are available to borrow free of charge, subsidised bike hire is also available. Please book on the ride via the Let’s Ride website and book bike hire or a bike seat/trailer below. If you are new to cycling with children on your bike, please consider attending our Introduction to Cycling with your Baby workshop first

Mostly off road cycle paths, with very short stretches on quiet roads

We'll always try and fit in a cafe stop

Children must wear a helmet, we like grown ups to do so too. Bring water Make sure you and your child are dressed for the weather. Children in bike seats or trailers won't be as warm as the person peddaling, so make sure you put extra layers on

You can borrow bikes, bike seats and trailers at the hub (small charge of £5 for bikes) please book your bike or accessory hire here https://www.parentingnortheast.org.uk/?p=1836

We especially welcome newbies!

A short ride along Route 72 to Walker Park where there is a lovely play area and cafe
