I've built in an alternative shorter route in case its needed.
The turn is going down Butsfield Lane, turn right onto the no14 and up to Hounsgill, then down the Derwent Walk to Peddling Squares.
Make sure you know the route, that will shorten the ride by half.

Easy flat start, before we start over 4000 feet. Climbing finishes around the 40 mile mark, giving us 20 mile downhill or flat, as we return to Peddling Squares. Average speed this ride10mph due to the climbing, so well be on it around 6 hours. I design my rides to be well balanced, easy start with downhill finish and lunch stop, not the bottom of big climb, so you can keep hold of your lunch. If you brake this ride down there's only 30 mile of climbing the rest is ether flat or downhill.

Please check your bike is roadworthy, that you are capable of the route mileage, do not pass the leader unless you know the road ahead, watch you don't cross wheels or follow to close, repeat any warnings given (bollards etc) shout stopping if you have to stop suddenly. Bring: mask, disposable gloves and hand sanitizer, helmet, 2 tubes, waterproofs (even in good weather) and lights for your bike, also enough food and drink for hydration and energy. All tools you need.
