SA1 8EN

There is a great, traffic-free route between Swansea University's two campuses, following the sweep of Swansea Bay. Much of the route is obvious, although it can get a bit confusing near the Marina and along Fabian Way, so why not join some of the Uni's British Cycling trained ride leaders who ride the path every day, to discover a cheap, healthy and (above all) fun way of travelling between the campuses. The return trip is around 16km - over 25% of the Movember target of 60km!

Meeting at the Santander Bikes stand outside Fulton House, we leave the campus before crossing to the seafront path at Brynmill Lane, following it all the way to cross the river Tawe at Trafalgar Bridge. We then cross to Prince's Dock and on to the back of the park and ride and Fabian Way before arriving at the Bay Campus via Baldwin's Bridge in time to join a guided walk around the dunes of Crymlyn Burrows for those who want to (book at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wild-wednesday-wildlife-walk-tickets-124257352085). There will be a return ride to Singleton at 2pm.

The whole route is traffic free (although there are a few road crossings) and almost flat, and surfaced, so suitable for all types of bike.

All you need is a roadworthy bike (check tyres and brakes before setting off) and a helmet.

Don't have your own bike? Because we will be starting and finishing at a Santander Bikes station, there is always the option to hire a bike for the trip, turn up 15 minutes early and we can help show you how.
