This is an easy flat route which includes the picturesque Greenway, a shared- cycle & walking path south of Stratford upon Avon.

Approximately 2/3 of the route is traffic free, and the route is almost flat. You will need a hybrid or mountain bike, as the Greenway can be a bit rough in places, and there is some mud especially if there has been recent wet weather.

We will stop half way at the Espesso Barn (CV378FX). This is a take-away only café, no bookings, but usually quiet enough at when we expect to arrive. (unfortunately no toilets are open at the time of writing).

Please make sure your bike is on good working order, especially the brakes. Please bring some water and also some means of contactless payment for the coffee stop. A helmet is recommended, and jacket /gloves if the weather is cool of changeable.

This route is particularly suitable for first timers or anyone who hasn’t been on bicycle for a long time. This will be an easy paced ride, and there are some road sections but much of the route is traffic-free.
