Starting point

Staffordshire
DE13 7DN

A 33 mile ride through the countryside taking in villages such as Coton in the Elms before heading over to Overseal and then Moira. Our return comes back through Neatherseal, Clifton Campville and on to Whittington. The route inevitably follows some main roads but we will mostly be on quiet back lanes and country roads. There are hills, no major ones but still hills! Hence we described this ride as challenging.

Route rating

0 stars (0) Reviews

A 33 mile ride to historic Moira Furnace through Staffordshire, South Derbyshire and Leicestershire countryside.

An undulating ride on mainly quite country lanes with some road junctions to negotiate.

A refreshment stop at Moira will be taken along with drink stops when required.

Helmets should be worn. According to the guidelines issued by British Cycling riders must be self-sufficient, bringing tools, a puncture repair kit, and a spare innertube. Having a face covering and hand sanitizer is recommended and all social distancing protocols and guidelines should be adhered to if asked. Money for refreshments, water and some type of food such as flapjacks, cereal or energy bars should be carried in case there are issues or delays at the scheduled stops as Cafes tend to get very busy these days.

We never leave anyone behind
