Mellow Monday to Avington

From the Willow Tree we will head out through Winnall, joining the national cycle route to get to Easton on quiet roads. From Easton we will carry on along the lanes through Avington Park to Itchen Abbas. Here we will join a B road back towards Easton and then back to the Willow Tree to finish.
We will ride at an easy-going pace with plenty of stops for a breather and drink of water. We will also stop to admire the lovely view across Avington Park to the lake and house beyond.
There is a short stretch on a faster road but we will ride in a group making sure anyone who feels less confident is well supported.
Please wear suitable clothing for the weather. You do not need special cycling gear but you do need to be warm and so gloves and warm jacket are a must as well as a helmet. Bring a bottle of water or flask with a warm drink to stay hydrated.
If you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for covid please make sure your lateral flow test is negative before joining us. We will follow all current covid guidelines to keep us all safe.
