A gentle 16 mile ride will take us along quiet country lanes and lightly trafficked roads.
We’ll leave Shipston on the Darlingscote Road and head north through Darlingscote, Blackwell and Armscote. We then have a short stretch of the main road through Newbold before we turn off for Crimscote, with our coffee stop at either Talton Mill or on to Ilmington and the Community Café.
Our return will be via Darlingscote, then south towards Stretton and back along the Campden Road.
The route in the valley is fairly level, but there are a couple of upward pulls. Don’t worry! – we never leave anyone behind and always stop at the tops for everyone to get their breath back.
The weather forecast looks dry at the moment but there is likely to be a brisk wind from the west keeping temperatures a little on the low side, so do gear up accordingly. A properly fitting helmet is recommended but is not compulsory.
Bring with you a roadworthy bike, a bottle of water and money for the coffee stop.
N.B. Please don’t come if you have COVID symptoms etc etc. It is still around and we don’t want to be spreaders.

Hope to see you on Saturday.
