33 mile ride along banks of the Tyne to see two old churches at Bywell and hopefully some snowdrops, then we backtrack to the White Swan at Ovingham for a break

St Andrew's Church, now redundant, is situated near Bywell Hall and has a fine tower of the Anglo Saxon period.

St Peter's Church close to the river. It has a square medieval tower, and the church was extended in the thirteenth century.
