On July 4th our plan is to drop in to the Henley Regatta for our refreshment. We'll take a route via Hambleden then cross at the weir and follow the Thames path to the Remenham end of the course. We'll venture a short way down the course, probably on foot, then turn around and return to Bisham via Aston.

This group began in September 2018 as part of the Active Bucks initiative to get county residents more active and healthy. We welcome all those who want to increase their fitness through cycling in a friendly social setting whether beginners or experienced. We meet every Thursday at 10:00am at the National Sports Centre, Bisham Abbey, outside the reception entrance. There is ample parking if coming by car.

Our routes are on quiet lanes and easy off-road tracks as much as possible. How far? Our rides typically range from approximately 10 to 20 miles. The decision on route is made on the day according to the riders present and weather conditions. What about beginners? Once a month we’ll offer a short, easy route to encourage those who are new to cycling or who want to build up their confidence and fitness before taking on longer journeys.

We incorporate a coffee stop so the total ride time can range from two to four hours.

Hybrid style or mountain bikes are ideal. Bikes with narrow, slick tyres may have difficulty with some of the off-road sections. All bikes must be in a safe roadworthy condition. Helmets are required and front and rear lights recommended.
