Starting point

From Dragon Rd Car Park, Harrogate we take the bike path just a few easy miles to Ripley Castle - TOTALLY TRAFFIC FREE and also the flattest route out of Harrogate - NO HILLS!!

Awesome for beginners and those who find the hills too tough.

At the Ripley Castle Tea Room we hope to rendezvous with the 'Sunday Social' Ride who started at 1.30pm and are heading through Bilton, Killinghall and Hampsthwaite to meet up at the Ripley Castle Tea Room. Then both groups ride to Harrogate town centre together along the cycle path, back to the start point.

Mostly cycle path and quiet country lanes - we begin at the start of the Ripley Cycle Path in the centre of Harrogate and have a number of options through to Ripley, on to Sophie's TeaRoom in Hampsthwaite, or shorter to Starbeck

Mostly traffic free or traffic light.

Hopefully a coffee and cake stop somewhere. Potentially a pub stop dependent on group requirements.

Check the weather - sometimes waterproofs and lights are needed in the British Summer ;) Please note this is a Ride Social - participants ride at their own risk and you should check the Ride Social British Cycling Terms & Conditions for details

We especially welcome newbies!
