This route was originally created by Michael Holt, for his tour de Wetherspoons rides.
Starting from UCLAN sports centre, We ride outward through Treales, Kirkham, Wesham, Weeton, Hardhorn, Poulton and on into Cleveleys.
The return is through Thornton, Singleton, Kirkham, Lea town back to UCLAN.
We'll ride at a steady pace of 10 - 12 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together.
Remember, this is not a race, but a leisurely ride at a pace to suit the slowest in the group!
Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, Helmet & lights checked & ready. Please ensure you have a pump and a couple of spare tubes in case of punctures and a good secure lock.
It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you.
Please arrive at least 15 mins before the ride start time, (9.45) So that we are able to get away at the stated start time

A ride to the seaside

We will use quiet country lanes as far as is practicable
