A mixed ride of towpaths, mostly minor roads and bridleways which takes us through Shireoaks and then Hodsock to Mattersey and Drakeholes. Return via roads, Chesterfield Canal via Retford and Scofton back to Kiveton.
Best suited to a gravel bike / hybrid / touring bike.
Stop for a picnic lunch at either Mattersey ruins or Drakeholes. We will also be able to stop along the way if needed.
Helmets. Food. Water. Tools. Puncture kit. Masks.
Mostly flat but it is a challenging route because of the mileage and bumpiness of the towpath in places. Also expected to be hot.
