We will be riding from the Stow down to the river which we will follow to Glen Faba. At this point we will follow the path around to the Weir where we will cross from the Stort to the Lee. We will then follow the tow path as far as Turnford Pike where upon enter Lee Valley and follow back paths to Cheshunt and back same route in reverse.

Please note that we will be unable to avoid all gates of which I think their are about 3. We will be riding single file 2 metres apart and will need to be especially aware of other users of the paths as well as ourselves. Please try your best to keep your distance and ensure you shout loudly if you feel the group is getting to split or your having difficulties. It will be everyone's responsibility to shout the message on to the lead or myself as appropriate. Working together I am sure we can make this a safe and enjoyable ride all be it a little different to normal.

A social distancing ride to Turnford Pike following the tow path along River Stort and River Lee.

Cycle paths and Tow paths

We will be stopping at Turnford Pike to enjoy a picnic. Everyone will need to bring their own, we will not be sharing food and drink as normally done and will be maintaining social distancing throughout.

Due to Covid precautions please bring your own PPE (mask, sterile gloves and alcohol hand gel) in case of an emergency. If you are feeling unwell in any way, particularly if you have a temperature or cough, please do not attend the ride. Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time so that we can do our safety checks and go through the route. It is important that you check that your bike is fully roadworthy, good brakes, gears that work and tyres that are pumped to the correct pressure. Helmets are recommended and we will each need to bring our own picnic and drink as we will be unable to share as normal.

For this ride I will be asking for only riders that have previously ridden with me book on as numbers are very limited and this is an annual ride that we have been looking forward to.
