Starting from - Meeting just outside the Greenwich foot tunnel entrance on Isle of Dogs from 9.45 am. The lifts in the tunnel don’t work, so if you are coming from the North side of the river and don’t fancy carrying your bike up and down the stairs, I suggest taking the DLR to Island Gardens. It’s ok to take a bike on the DLR on weekends and it’s a 2-min walk from the station to the meeting point. E14 3GR

(0) ReviewsThis is a flat route starting at the bottom of the Isle of Dogs, going via Royal Victoria docks, Greenway, Stratford, Victoria Park and coming back to the start point via the canal path and the riverside near Canary Wharf. There will be a coffee and cake stop at one of the cafes in Victoria Park. The route is mainly traffic free with a few short rides on roads and suitable for all types of bikes.
All you need is a working bike - pumped up tyres, working breaks, no-squeaky chain, and turning wheels- although we will also do a quick bike check before we head off. If you don’t have a bike, there is a Santander bike hire station just outside Island Gardens.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and please check you have a negative lateral flow test so that we are on the safe side in the current environment and can have a coffee stop in a café.
