Hunt for the Gold Lion

Starting from Dobbies Car park, we head out towards Ainsdale, then turn back through Halsall, Aughton and down to Rainford. We will take refreshments at Reds cafe (dependent on the number of riders).
We will travel back towards Ormskirk, climb over Clieves Hill and take the lane across the Moss back to the start point.
We'll ride at a steady pace of 10 - 12 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together.
Remember, this is not a race, but a leisurely ride at a pace to suit the slowest in the group!
Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, helmet & lights checked and ready. Please ensure you have a pump and a couple of spare tubes in case of punctures and a good secure lock.

Please be at the start point at least 15 mins before the ride start time, (9.45) ready to ride, so that we are able to get away at the stated start time of 10.05

Starting from Dobbies at Southport we meander down towards Rainford and the Lavender Farm but due to the cafe not being so good anymore we will search out the golden lion instead

We will try to utilise quiet country lanes as far as is practicable

The cafe stop is a cafe called Reds, dependent on numbers or alternatively a meal in the Golden Lion
