Hi all, let’s meet at 9:00 a.m. at The Buff Pub, Pinewood Drive, Orpington BR6 9NL, and head out to some quiet scenic country lanes for some fresh air (and avoid busy congested London).
We'll head out towards Cudham, along Pilgrims's way, into lovely Westerham before the big climb up Brasted Chart Hill. As a reward, we will stop at the Ide Hill cafe to enjoy the view. We'll then head back towards Sundridge, Chevening and make an attempt at Star Hill. It will all be worth it once we descend down Rushmore Hill.
This friendly social ride is suitable for experienced, intermediate to advanced cyclists, estimated to be around 25-28 miles with an elevation gain of 2050 feet.
Please remember to pack a waterproof jacket, a spare inner tube, a bike lock, snacks/energy bars and some money for the tea and coffee stop. Make sure your bike is in good working order – do check your brakes.
Do check out our other rides as we have a wide variety of interesting scenic routes along the countryside - healthy fresh air and quiet lanes!
