A steady ride to Richmond Park on a mostly flat route (with a few bumps) via Syon Park, cross over the River Thames and cycle up to Richmond Park; do the 7 mile loop of Richmond Park (perfect for cycling) then return back to Harrow via Kew, Gunnersbury Park and Ealing. The complete route is good training for anyone taking part in Prudential Ride London 46 and the shorter Routes (see below) is good training for Prudential Ride London 19.

We will be in cycling lanes and along the river path (shared with cyclist and pedestrians) to Richmond Park and on the return will be mostly in cycling lanes. A road bike is most suitable (but a hybrid with road tyres will be fine).

If needed, we will stop at the Riverside in Richmond before the final climb to Richmond Park. Our final stop is Roehampton Café (which has a wide variety of food and drink available). If we see any deer, we will stop once briefly to view them. There are a number of options available for this ride. You can do the complete route or (i) leave out the loop of Richmond Park (7 miles); (ii) Just cycle to Richmond Riverside (12ish miles) and get the train home or (iii) cycle to Richmond Park (14ish miles) and get the train home. Please note on the return from Richmond Park to Harrow we will be going at a steady pace (with no stops).

Please wear a helmet, bring a bottle of water, a couple of snacks (to replenish your energy). It's always handy to have some cash. PLEASE ensure your bike it fit to do this ride (brakes working, tyres fully pumped up etc).

Yes you can!
