NOTE You must register on Eventbrite, https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/greenwich-canary-wharf-trinity-buoy-wharf-barrier-park-cycle-ride-tickets-158090481887. Please give a phone number when registering as it may be needed for Track and Trace. If you cannot make it, please cancel so that someone else can take the place. Even at the last minute it is worth cancelling. We use Eventbrite because these rides are listed in several places and having just one registration point allows us to limit the numbers.

This is an easy ride with no hills and lots to see. DLR train to Mudchute (bring face mask and travel pass) OR meet at tunnel exit at Island Gardens at 9.45 (for people happy to carry bikes down/up steps at Greenwich Foot Tunnel, or who can ride directly to Island Gardens). Aim is to finish at Cutty Sark at approx. 1pm. Trinity Buoy Wharf (https://www.trinitybuoywharf.com/) has the Faraday Shed, a tree in a taxi on a Café, a lighthouse and more. If you have never visited, this is your chance. Barrier Park on the north bank gives terrific views of, you guessed it, the Thames Flood Barrier. Return route probably via Woolwich Ferry and the Thames Path. Last ridden Feb 2018, report and photos here (http://healthyrider.weebly.com/healthy-ride-reports-jan-march-2018.html).

We will keep everyone as safe as possible by observing all the Covid Regulations. Most importantly we will be maintaining routinely a 2m social distance, never less than 1m. Particularly important to maintain social distancing from other users on shared paths. Always give way to pedestrians and to other cyclists so all path users can maintain 1-2 m and feel safe. Just in case we need them, good idea to bring a face mask - needed for the cafe. Obviously please do not turn up to this event if you are displaying symptoms of Covid-19.

This ride is organised by Southwark Cyclists, who are part of the London Cycling Campaign. This ride is organised by volunteers. If you have any feedback, good or bad, please get in touch with [email protected]. For details of LCC’s Safeguarding and other policies please see lcc.org.uk

Fascinating ride through river and dock side East London. Easy-paced, social ride.

Lots of traffic free paths, some quiet streets, short stretches of busier road.

Several short stops plus coffee break at Trinity Buoy Wharf

Just themselves and their bike

First-timers welcome!
